Duikboot

Duikboot organises techno and deep house events in and around Breda. To promote their events, we created them a visual identity based on the concept of dazzle camouflage. Dazzle camouflage, also known as razzle dazzle, was a specific type of paint job applied to the ships of the British marine during the first and second World War.

The geometric patterns used in the paint jobs were not intended to conceal the ships, but to make it difficult for the enemy to estimate the ship’s range, speed and heading, making the ships practically invincible. The concept of the dazzle camouflage was applied to a whole series of posters, each used to promote a different edition of the event.
